At Nisai, students with no English skills can develop their English to a level where they are ready for international courses through a combination of the CEFR program and Units of Sound (e-tools) over a long period of time.
At Nisai, we combine the "Units of Sound" E-tool with the CEFR program to develop English proficiency in beginners. By nurturing English skills over the long term, students can progress to the CEFR A2 program, Booster courses, or even the International course thereafter.
Cambridge International AS & A Levels (A Levels) are recognized as passports to success in education, university, and employment. The Cambridge International Advanced Subsidiary Levels (AS Levels) and Cambridge International Advanced Levels (A Levels) are subject-based qualification exams taken over two years in high school. The A-Level program is a two-year course aimed at students aged 16-19 (high school students) before entering university. Completion of the AS Level program requires one year of study, and completion of the A-Level program requires a total of two years, including the AS program. Evaluations and international qualification exams are conducted at the end of each program's academic year.
For students who wish to enter a Japanese university
During the final two years of high school, students undertake the A-Level program, concurrently developing strong English proficiency as a valuable asset for their desired university admissions. Upon completion of the Cambridge International A-Level, English proficiency becomes at least equivalent to CEFR C1 level (Eiken grade 1). With this level of English proficiency, students can pursue advanced qualifications such as Cambridge Assessment English or Eiken for Japanese university admissions. Additionally, students simultaneously develop skills essential for university, such as problem-solving and critical thinking.
For students who wish to enter a university abroad
Students select subjects such as English, English literature, mathematics, economics, and psychology to develop the academic skills necessary for their desired university admissions. Over a period of two years, they study these subjects more intensively in English, cultivating problem-solving skills and critical thinking. In the A-Level program, students cover content up to the level of first-year university courses in Japan.

Opportunities to attend classes via Zoom and other online conferencing tools have increased. Most of these classes utilize systems where faces are visible. However, Nisai's class introduces a system where faces are invisible to each other.
At first glance, some may feel worried about faces being invisible. About IGCSE
The IGCSE is a qualification that certifies completion of compulsory education in the United Kingdom and is one of the most popular international qualifications worldwide. Additionally, it is often required by multinational corporations for employment.
In the IGCSE Middle School Course, we offer a two-year IGCSE program designed for students aged 14 to 16 (middle school students). Each learning program follows the UK curriculum and is designed to prepare students for Key Stage 5 AS and A-Level (high school courses).
About A-level
In the A-Level High School Course, we offer a two-year AS and A-Level program designed for students aged 16 to 19 (high school students) before entering university education.
Completion of the AS Level program requires one year of study, and completion of the A-Level program requires a total of two years, including the AS program. Evaluations and international qualification exams are conducted at the end of each program's academic year. The international qualifications, AS & A-Level, are recognized by educational institutions worldwide as a university entrance qualifications.
We conduct interviews with parents to understand their family's aspirations, what the student is seeking, their objectives, and goals. Subsequently, taking into account assessment test results and other factors, the responsible staff members plan the most suitable course for the student based on their abilities and current level.
In the elementary school course, students who do not have enough English skills engage in learning using a combination of CEFR programs and Units of Sound.
Depending on the student's proficiency in English and existing subject knowledge, they may enroll in the NS curriculum.
Gifted learners, referred to as such due to their exceptional abilities, may skip grades regardless of their age. However, if they are under 10 years old, they initially join the NS1 (11 years old) class, and Nisai's teachers assess whether further grade skipping is necessary based on their performance in classes and assignments.
For middle school students, enrollment typically involves either the NS curriculum or the IGCSE curriculum, if they have a basic level of English proficiency.
Similarly, through consultations with our staff, we extract the family's aspirations, and the student's desires, objectives, and goals. Subsequently, considering assessment test results, the staff members plan the most suitable course for the student based on their abilities and current level.

Assessment tests are used to measure the baseline of the learner's ability and to plan a course that meets their objectives and goals.
Nisai, the fully online Cambridge International School offers a free trial lesson. Additionally, we hold school information sessions every Tuesday at 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM via Zoom. If you would like to participate in the Nisai International School information session, please select your preferred date from the school information session registration form.

At Nisai, we employ a "no-face-showing" classroom system to ensure that individuals with various backgrounds can participate. In fact, it has been found that "not showing one's face leads to better learning outcomes." In addition to microphones, our classroom communication tools include chat and whiteboard features, allowing you to participate using the tools that suit you best. Rest assured that Nisai continues to provide effective education through this classroom system.
At Nisai, a counselor will conduct an initial interview. Then, if necessary, you will take Nisai's assessment test to assess your current level. Based on this information, the counselor will plan the course progression toward international education for you. For example, if your English skills do not meet the requirements for international education, we will propose a plan tailored to your needs, such as combining CEFR programs, Units of Sound, and STEAM education courses.
